At Mazing, we develop digital solutions that support furniture manufacturers in efficiently digitizing their products and making them available in a scalable manner via retail partners.
The project with Niehoff is an example of how AI 3D models with a configurator can be used as a central database for planning, sales and marketing.
The aim was not only to create high-quality 3D content on a one-off basis, but also to make it usable in the long term for various applications – from retailer configurators to AI-generated milieu images.
Challenge at Niehoff
Niehoff faced several key challenges:
-
Wide range of variants: materials, colors and designs should be flexibly combinable
-
Scalability: 3D content should not only be able to be used internally, but also by retailers
-
Consistency: Uniform presentation across configurator, planning tools and marketing images
-
Efficiency: Reduction of manual 3D and rendering processes with consistently high quality
They were looking for a solution that combined 3D, configuration and visualization in one system.
Our solution: AI 3D models with configurator
Together with Niehoff, we have implemented an end-to-end digital product pipeline – based on AI-supported 3D modeling and a modular configurator.
Implemented services
-
Creation of 3D models with AI
AI-supported generation of precise 3D models as the basis for all further applications -
Digitization of textures
Materials and surfaces were realistically digitized and parameterized -
Implementation of a configurator
Variant logic (materials, colors, designs) directly on the 3D model
→ Can be used by manufacturers and trading partners -
Creation of AI environment images
Automated generation of lifestyle and application scenes based on configurable 3D models
